Dr. Davison is a faculty member in the Interdisciplinary Studies and Co-Directory of AppDocs. She teaches research methods, statistics, and media classes in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. Her documentary projects - screened internationally, in film festivals, and on public television - include The Denim Dynasty, Eva & Moe, and Dulatown. She has also produced many videos for local non-profits, including the National Park Service.

Tom Hansell is co-director of AppDocs and an Associate Professor of Appalachian Studies at Appalachian State University. He is a documentary filmmaker and installation artist who has worked on creative placemaking projects in Appalachia for more than 20 years. His documentary films (Coal Bucket Outlaw, The Electricity Fairy, and After Coal) have been broadcast on public television and screened at international film festivals.
